Since young, I have been admiring those business women who appear on the television screen, earning loads of money, dressing smartly for work, and since young, I love to act as the shop owner while my friends would be the customers buying my items. As far as I am concern, in order to reach my goals for the future, I must concentrate more on my studies. Being able to do so, I guess I have to buck up more on my studies now. In today’s society it is all about having a good education. With an education finding a job would be an ease.
This career basically is to be able to communicate with strangers and be able to promote products and try ways to make them interested in it. I also have to face challenges of globalisation in order to be exposed to entrepreneurial skills. If I am able to score well for my O levels, I will be able to take up the course 'Business Management' which is a nearer step to my goals. Nan yang Polytechnic had been my dream Polytechnic as it has the courses that concerns business. Over there, Students are given a solid foundation in the key business modules in the first two years, and specialised subjects in the second and final year of study. I'm very inspired by the course there and will be working harder towards my goal.
Lastly, I understand that a business woman have to interact well with her clients, but I am not really a good-talker and often feels shy when projecting my voice and presenting to crowds. Even for my oral examinations, my heart would beat very quickly and I would start to feel very nervous. I have a part-time job which is from Star hub Company. Doing door to door sales, I have to interact with every house respondents and persuade them to buy our stuffs. I think this would help me to be better while communicating with strangers and persuade them to buy stuffs. Hopefully I will be able to score well for my O levels and get into my dream polytechnic.
